As we've mentioned before, traffic is not a key metric. However, the target audience does say a lot about what's been done to optimize the website, as well as what should be done going forwards. Let's see if we have any useful information here.

metro.bg Website Safety

Now this is rather important. With viruses and malware so dominant these days, website safety is among the key ratings. It's importance is such that a website marked as unsafe is more than likely not to rank at all, let alone on the first page. Now, some sources are more reliable than others, but we'll try to present you with all the information we've managed to gather, along with some relevant commentary.

1. Out of all the security solutions we've managed to include, Norton stands tallest. The cyber security company behind this software, Symantec, has a well deserved reputation. As such, we trust their analysis and suggest you do, too. If they deem a website less than safe, there's probably a real reason for it. It can't be absolutely reliable, but as close as makes no difference, we think. Symantec deems metro.bg to be no_data. According to Symantec, no annoyance factors have been found. No computer threats were found. And finally, no identity threats were come across.
2. Even though we are including WoT (or Web of Trust) in this report - after all, any source is an important source when given context - it's nowhere near as reliable as, say, Symantec/Norton. We would not trust WoT all too much, but it's better to be falsely warned than falsely safe. Just be sure to double-check using other sources, as WoT has been less than trustworthy (oh the irony) over the last few years. According to WoT, metro.bg has a Trustworthiness rating of 67 out of 100. Child Safety has been rated at 84 (out of 100). Just remember - no grain of salt is too big here. These ratings can be blatant lies.
3. Sucuri is cool. Purchased a while back by GoDaddy, it's an online security expert company started in 2010 by the founder Daniel B. Cid. That makes it quite young, but don't mistake apparent lack of decade-long experience of the company itself for lack of quality data. According to Sucuri, No Malware Detected by External Scan. And lastly, the website is apparently Not Currently Blacklisted (10 Blacklists Checked).

Absolute accuracy is accessible only by the webmasters. If you keep that in mind, perhaps you will find out approximate numbers of some use.
Where appropriate, we'll add an insight, but the numbers themselves speak clearly enough, eh?

Website load speed analysis

• The homepage takes approximately 1.0451 seconds to load. Load speed (and overall responsiveness) is such an important factor for both search engines and user experience, would you not agree? With that in mind, this is a very good result.
• The HTML of the website weighs in at around 130.7 kilobytes. We don't think 130.7 KBs is something to worry about.
• There are at least 20 images on the homepage of this website. We are glad to say that such an amount should not impact the load speed of the website. Great result!
• We've counted at least 56 server requests before the homepage was fully loaded. Oh my, this needs to be worked on. The more server requests are made, the longer it takes to load the page. Not a good result by any measure.

Alexa ranking in-depth

With over 4 million websites indexed (which can seem as a lot, or very little, depending on your point of view), Alexa is perhaps the oldest and certainly the best known ranking system, deservedly or not. The Alexa Global and Local ranks of a website are based on an approximate amount of visitors a given website receives. The more visitors, the higher the rank. The Alexa rank, be it Local or Global, should be taken with a pinch of salt. After all, visitor count is by far not the simple measure of a website's success it's made out to be. For example, a gardening website is never going to be as popular as a movie review website. It does not mean it's not popular within it's niche.

• metro.bg takes up 220 485 place globally, according to Alexa. We made sure to update this information on 2018-01-28.
• Compare the current rank to all-time best of 127 060, which this website enjoyed on 2015-08-12.
• Over the last three months, the position has changed by -80469.
• On the other end of the scale, the worst rank ever was 529 963, rated on 2015-11-29. Compare that to the current rank to see a marked improvement, even if of debatable importance.
• Given all the numbers, the average Global rank is at 236 556.
• When compared to Bulgaria websites, metro.bg ranks in 572 place.
