There is an old Indian legend which tells how the the dusky Red Men roamed far and wide through the Gulf Coast country, and would not stop until, guided by an unerring instinct they reached a summit crowned with tall trees, beautiful flowers and life-giving plants, and where springs bubbled forth, flowing water as sparkling as the mountain dew and as pure as the nectar of the gods. Here they reared their wigwams and dwelt in peaceful, happy life, bringing the sick from other tribes, and with naught but pure air, pure water, and the healing virtues of shrubs and herbs, nursing them back to life and health again; and here they would have dwelt until the present day had not fate and the decree of the Paleface wrested their heritage from them. QUANTCAST - an advertising-related data processing company - mostly specializes in real-time audience analysis and measurements. In other words it, like Alexa, is basing its rankings on approximate traffic numbers. Currently, QUANTCAST has rated around 228 442 724 websites. Just like ALEXA, this is not a metric of huge importance, so don't base your SEO decisions on QUANTCAST rank, specifically. At best, it's a vague representation of how your website is doing in the grand scheme of things, but it does not take all that much context into account.

To load a webpage, your browser needs to contact the said server and request files - strings of code that make up the website into what it is, including images, text and database entries. Each physical server has a unique IP address that is used by the browser to contact it.
